Part XVIII: Innocence

Continuing to make idle conversation with Dominic, Liam ignored his need to comfort Analise. Her mistake was a newbie mistake. More than once, Grim had made the same mistake while kneeling and having something catch his eye. He’d lean to see around Liam’s legs, and in the process knock Liam off-balance. While he wasn’t mad at Analise’s mistake, he didn’t feel the need to correct a minor infraction here and humiliate her when it could be handled in the privacy of their home.

He was just about to take another drink of his scotch when Master Paul, one of the out-of-town Doms, approached him with his sub, Reed, on a leash. He turned to greet him.

“Hey Paul, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen your face in here. Come in for the demonstration?”

Paul slid up to the bar next to him. “Yeah. I’ve been coming up every weekend for the past month. My sub loves rope play, and we enrolled in one of Master Caelan’s shibari classes. In fact tonight, he’s going to work with Reed during his demonstration.”

A grin split Liam’s face. “Congrats. Master Caelan only works with subs who truly appreciate the art. I hear there’s a waiting list to get into one of his classes. In fact, I brought Grim and my new sub tonight to watch the demonstration. She expressed a desire to try shibari, and I figured having her see it first hand, before I break out the ropes would be a good idea.”

“She?” Paul’s eyebrows rose. “The last thing I expected was for you take a female sub. You and Grim have been together forever.”

Liam chuckled. “True, but when Grim spotted her at work…well let’s say that rest is history.”

“She must be one helluva a woman to get you two cock hounds to look at her.” Paul slapped his shoulder good-naturedly.

“She is that and more.” He reached down to touch Analise’s head, hoping she’d heard the praise in his voice. “She’s taken to the training beautifully.”

“Sounds interesting.” Paul leaned back from the bar to look down at the subs kneeling at Liam’s feet. Then his eyes narrowed. “What the fuck? That almost looks like…” Crouching down, the other man reached to touch Analise. A low growl built in Liam’s throat.

“I didn’t give you permission to touch.”

Paul paused, his hand again mere inches from Analise, before finally speaking. “Sugar, what the hell are you doing here?”

“Paul, you need to back off.” Liam spoke softly. “Before I kick your ass for fucking with my subs.”

Paul surged upright, inadvertently pulling hard on his submissive’s collar. At Reed’s slight sound, Paul immediately looked down at him, loosening his tight grip on the leash. “Sorry, lover.” Then he glared at Liam. “You care to tell me why you have my innocent, untouched niece kneeling at your feet?”

Keeping his unraveling temper on a tight leash, Liam gazed at him steadily, not letting his surprise at Paul’s announcement show. It mattered little to Liam that Analise was Paul’s niece. What mattered to him was that she’d come to them of her own free will.
